30 Rock Alec Baldwin debated suffing himself after publicized voice mail tirade against his daughter.
It was a voice mail heard around the world – Baldwin’s verbal abuse against daughter Ireland in April 2007. he slammed hi daughter by Kim Basinger, then 11, calling her a "rude little pig" who needed her "ass straightened out".
Now Alec tells Hef mag, Playboy, that when the VM got out, he was "very serious" about suicide.
"I spoke to a lot of professionals, who helped me," he admitted.
At the time Alex was embroiled in a bitter six year custody battle with ex-wife Basinger.
"If I committed suicide, [they] would have considered that a victory. Destroying me was their avowed goal."
His despair was so great he wanted to quit the hit NBC comedy and fire his agent who also repped Basinger.
Thankfully, Alec pulled himself together.
