T he long-awaited showdown between Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie is finally set to explode at this year’s Oscars – and Hollywood can’t wait!
Both the former and current Mrs. Brad Pitt are on track for Academy Award nods, setting the stage for a face-to-face meeting.
“It’s going to be the most talked-about event of the awards season, and everyone is hoping for a major catfight!” one Tinseltown insider told The National ENQUIRER.
“But each of them have told Oscar organizers that under no circumstances is there to be any risk of a run-in.Everyone is tearing their hair out trying to make sure it doesn’t happen.”
The 39-year-old “Maleficent” actress has been getting a big push for Best Director honors for “Unbroken.” Meanwhile, the “Friends” star, 45, earned a standing ovation for her performance in “Cake” at the Toronto International Film Festival, and she’s considered a lock for an Oscar nod.
Organizers are going to great lengths to ensure there are no incidents involving the two actresses, sources said.
“If anything goes wrong, there will be hell to pay,” said the insider, adding that even with precautions, onlookers are salivating at the chance to capture a potential Angie-Jen smackdown. “There will be a huge push to get these two in the same photo. No one wants to miss it.”
