ANGIE OUTRAGED BY FAMILY FUROR

ANGELINA JOLIE is ready to call off her wedding to fiance Brad Pitt  over an anti-gay letter his mother sent to a local newspaper.

In a letter to Missouri’s “Springfield News-Leader,” Jane Pitt expressed her support for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney by writing that “any Christian should spend much time in prayer” before refusing to vote for Romney because he is a Mormon. She praised him for his “high morals,” business experience, anti-abortion stance and the “Christian conviction concerning homosexuality.”

Jane, whom the “News-Leader” identified as “the mother of actor Brad Pitt and local businessman Doug Pitt,” also blasts “Barack Hussein Obama” as “a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.”

Jane’s conservative views stand in stark contrast to those of her son, who once said that he and Angelina wouldn’t marry until everyone – including gay people – could legally tie the knot.

Brad, 48, also recently starred alongside George Clooney in “8,” Dustin Lance Black’s play about California’s voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage.

“Angie is freaking out that Brad’s own mom has such views,” said a source close to the 37-year-old actress. “She is absolutely mortified. She was almost tearing her hair out she was so incensed by Jane’s words. She thought they were hateful.

“Angie told Brad that he better talk to his mom immediately and straighten her out…or else the wedding is off!”

But then, her own dad  Oscar-winner JON VOIGHT, an outspoken conservative, came out in support of Jane’s letter. “Good for her!” Voight told Fox 411.com
