AMANDA KNOX has secretly promised her Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito that she’ll marry him and have his baby, say sources.
Amanda, 24, and her 27-year-old beau reconnected after an Italian appeals court overturned their convictions for the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher on Oct. 3 after four years behind bars.
“After they were freed by the court, Amanda and Raffaele were able to physically be together for a short time as they were driven back to their prisons to collect personal belongings,” a source told The ENQUIRER.
“In the car, Amanda was crying so much and Raffaele said: ‘We’re free. Why are you crying?’”
“They held each other’s hands for the first time since their nightmare began, and Amanda repeated a teary secret pledge she’d made to Raff, telling him that she would marry him and have his baby.”
The two had dated for only a week in Perugia before Meredith was murdered. While behind bars, however, their passion grew as they exchanged secret love letters and notes, said the source.
Raffaele is madly in love with Amanda and anxious to join her in America, added another source. Meanwhile, since arriving back home in Seattle, she also met with her American ex-boyfriend David Johnsrud, a University of Washington classmate who visited her in prison in Italy.
“Amanda and David tearfully hugged at a dinner with friends over Chinese food,” a close source told The ENQUIRER.
“But Amanda’s heart belongs to Raff. Hopefully, David will support their romance – or things could explode into a nasty love triangle.”
