Britney Spears has checked into Promises Treatment Center in Malibu, California, The National ENQUIRER has learned exclusively.

After cutting off her hair and undergoing what those close to her described as a breakdown, the 25-year-old star was taken to the drug and alcohol addiction center by her father Jamie Spears.

Promises is a posh rehab facility that is often used by drug addicted celebrities. Stars who have checked into the clinic include Diana Ross, Tim Allen, Christian Slater, Jason Priestley, Chris Farley, Kim Delaney, Matt Perry and Ben Affleck.
