ANGIE PSYCHO-TRAUMA

description

New tell-all awakens repressed memories of ANGELINA JOLIE‘s torment of her past in a mental institution.

During an emotional heart-to-heart with partner Brad Pitt, Angelina admitted she was sent over the edge after the release of the blockbuster new tell-all biography Angelina, a source said.

In the book, author Andrew Morton claimed Angelina was once so suicidal that she hired a hit man to kill her because she was too afraid to do it herself.

But the would-be killer talked her out of it.

The book also portrays Jolie’s beloved mother Marcheline Bertrand, who died of ovarian cancer in 2007, as being manipulative and unstable, and rekindled Angelina’s lifelong fear of abandonment, said the insider.

To make matters worse, as The ENQUIRER recently revealed, Brad was reportedly furious over secrets of Angelina’s sex- and drug-soaked past detailed in the tell-all book.

Friends said his angry tirade against Angelina raised new concerns about whether their relationship would survive.

Angelina’s first stay in a mental ward was in 2000, when she committed herself to the Neuropsychiatric Institute at UCLA Medical Center for three days shortly before marrying Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton.

Sources at the time said the then- 24-year-old actress – who regularly cut herself in her teens and 20s – was afraid that she might kill herself if she wasn’t treated.

And now, the source said, Angelina is tormented by the these same past memories resurfacing despite  displaying a seemingly cool exterior.
