Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) offices across the country, known for frustrating wait times and requirements, have for decades been the butt of jokes and insults, and now one man is facing charges for making bomb threats at a DMV office in Virginia.

The Petersburg Bureau of Police said officers responded to the DMV located on the 100 block of Wagner Road in Petersburg at around 1:07 p.m. Tuesday for a report that a man was threatening to bomb the facility.

Officers arrived to find the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Mortatha Ahmed, still there. He was taken into custody without incident.

Ahmed was charged with disorderly conduct and threat to bond, and was being held at the Riverside Regional Jail without bond, police said.
