Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham had a hot and steamy romance while it lasted. They bonded over their musical talent and vision, but those same ties that brought them together are what eventually broke them—and their iconic band.
“It was not a good situation. I mean even though it’s eleven years after rumors had been made, still the tensions between them are pretty difficult,” recalls music journalist Chris Salewicz in a show teaser for REELZ’s docuseries, Breaking the Band: Fleetwood Mac.
“You have this situation in Fleetwood Mac where you have Stevie Nicks and then you have Lindsey, and they split up,” added psychologist Dr. Linda Papadopoulos.
“It’s been a decade—yet within their music, within their interactions, there’s this sense that maybe they’re not really over each other yet.”
But was their complex romance what really caused the British-American rock band to part ways?
