A group calling itself “Islamic State” who are affiliated with the islamic militant group “Isis” is claiming responsibility for the recent explosion in the London Underground!

A message on Isis’s propaganda page, “Amaq,”  has been translated as, “A security source to Amaq: The bombing of the IED in the London tube was carried out by a unit affiliated to the Islamic State.”

The statement has raised doubts among experts who claim it is unusual for such announcements to be made by the terrorist group while the suspect is still at large.

Thirty people were hurt after a detonated IED caused a “fireball” on a London commuter train traveling inside an underground tube during morning rush hour.

An ongoing manhunt has reportedly netted a “significant person of interest” who may be connected to the attack and have raided a residence in the nearby town of Surrey.

The militant group also claims there are other devices planted around the city that had not detonated, causing the UK’s terror alert level to rise to critical.

British Prime Minister Theresa May said military troops and personnel are set to be dispatched to aid the London police force as the hunt the bomber continues.

“The public will see more armed police on the transport network and on our streets, providing extra protection,” said May.

“This is a proportionate and sensible step which will provide extra reassurance and protection while the investigation progresses.”

The bombing is the fifth major terrorism attack in Britain this year, including an Ariana Grande concert in May at O2 Arena in Manchester.
