Boston bomber suspect Tamerlan TSARNAEV’s pal, was shot by an FBI agent after going berserk during questioning. VIDEO

Federal officials said the FBI agent and two Massachusetts State Police troopers were interviewing, Ibragim Todashev,  27, a mixed martial arts fighter.

The interview was being conducted at his townhouse early Wednesday in Orlando when all hell broke loose.

In a statement, the FBI said the agent acted on an imminent threat and opened fire.

The agent was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

A former boxer, Tamerlan Tsarnaev was slain in a police shootout within days of the April 15 attacks.  His younger  brother, Dzhokhar, eluded police before being captured and is charged with carrying out the attacks that killed three and wounded more than 260.

An FBI team has been dispatched from D.C. to review the Florida shooting incident which is standard operating procedure.

A friend of Todashev’s  told  WESH-TV  that the slain suspect had known the suspected bomber  from mixed martial arts fighting.

Public records also show Todashev lived in Watertown, Mass., just outside Boston, last year.

The FBI remained mum on what investigators had hoped to learn from the interview.
