Authorities in Florida are offering a reward for information about a suspect accused of stealing a car and using it in an attempt to kidnap a woman while she was out walking her dog.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday released surveillance videos from the location where the Toyota 4Runner was originally stolen and from the neighborhood where he attempted to kidnap a woman on the morning of May 11.

The woman was walking her dog in the area of Adanson Street and Lee Road, in the Fairview Shores community just north of Orlando, when she saw a gray Toyota 4Runner driving past her multiple times, as seen in surveillance videos. According to the sheriff’s office, the SUV suddenly blocked her path, and the suspect pointed a handgun at her and ordered her to get into the vehicle.

The woman ran away, and the suspect fled the scene. The 4Runner was later recovered by authorities, and found to have been stolen earlier that morning.

Home security video from the location where the 4Runner was stolen shows the suspect. He is described as having an average build, black hair, and possibly a tattoo on his left forearm.

The sheriff’s office said Crimeline is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call the Orange County Sheriffs Office or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
