Investigators have spoken to James Beights, who told reporters that he was driving the truck that the bus had to avoid — and claims that his vehicle wasn’t even moving at the time!
“I was stopped,” said Beights, “waiting on traffic to turn onto my driveway. She swerved to miss me.”

Beights added that he rushed to help the terrified children who were then trapped in the school district’s Bus No. 213 — which serves both the Crosby Middle and Crosby High schools
