STARS SHOW THEIR PATRIOTIC COLORS

All across America, our hearts beat true for the red, white and blue.

The Stars and Stripes have inspired fashion designers since Betsy Ross made the first Star-Spangled Banner for General George Washington in 1776.

And celebrities proudly wear their own unique versions of our Grand Old Flag.

Celebs are also showing their colors by donating their time and money to the cause.

Add rap artist and producer Dr. Dre to the list of stars who have contributed $1 million plus to donations being made for the victims of last week’s attacks. Dre contributed $1 million to a Los Angeles radio station trying to raise $1.6 million to be donated to the American Red Cross.

Jim Carrey and Rosie O’Donnell have each stepped up to the plate with million dollar donations.

Britney Spears will sell merchandise and auction off tickets to one of her concerts, money which will go specifically to the children of the victims.

And Friday night’s four-network simulcast television benefit boasts a bevy of stars donating their time and talent — with some of hollywood’s hottest stars answering phones to take donations.
