Track Palin, the son of outspoken former Alaska governor and Tea Party darling Sarah Palin, was hit with assault and weapons charges yesterday in Wasilla, Alaska.
Wasilla police issued a statement today that officers were called to a residence in Wasilla for a disturbance at about 10 p.m. Monday, where they encountered Track Palin.
“An investigation revealed Track Palin had committed a domestic violence assault on a female, interfered with her ability to report a crime of domestic violence, and possessed a firearm while intoxicated,” the police statement said.
Court records reveal Track, 26, was charged with three misdemeanors: assault, interfering with a report of domestic violence, and possession of a weapon while intoxicated.
Track is an Army veteran who spent a year deployed in Iraq.
He was married to his high school sweetheart, Britta Hanson, for one year, filing for divorce in 2012. The couple have one daughter, Kyla.
