Sarah Palin’s Son Track Busted For Weapons, Domestic Violence

Divorced youth faces assault, intoxication charges in Alaska.

Track Palin, the son of outspoken former Alaska governor and Tea Party darling Sarah Palin, was hit with assault and weapons charges yesterday in Wasilla, Alaska.

Wasilla police issued a statement today that officers were called to a residence in Wasilla for a disturbance at about 10 p.m. Monday, where they encountered Track Palin.

“An investigation revealed Track Palin had committed a domestic violence assault on a female, interfered with her ability to report a crime of domestic violence, and possessed a firearm while intoxicated,” the police statement said.

Court records reveal Track, 26, was charged with three misdemeanors: assault, interfering with a report of domestic violence, and possession of a weapon while intoxicated.

Track is an Army veteran who spent a year deployed in Iraq.

He was married to his high school sweetheart, Britta Hanson, for one year, filing for divorce in 2012. The couple have one daughter, Kyla.

Sarah was the vice presidential candidate on Sen. John McCain’s 2008 Republican presidential ticket.
