Bernie Sanders could be a spy for Russian boss Vladimir Putin!
The left-leaning presidential candidate may have been recruited in 1988 while visiting the Russian spy capital of Yaroslavl, sources said.
“Vlad’s likely been pulling Bernie’s strings for decades, and it will pay off handsomely if he wins the presidency!” former Secret Service agent John A. Carman told The National ENQUIRER.
As mayor of Burlington, Vt., in 1988, Bernie arranged to ally with Yaroslavl as a sister city. It’s 160 miles from Moscow and notorious for being used by Putin and espionage brass as a site for secret meetings.
Bernie’s “cultural exchange” trip was likely orchestrated by the KGB, said retired Navy Admiral James A. Lyons.
“He might not have known” he was meeting with Russian intelligence, the former commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet told The ENQUIRER.
“But there’s any number of ways he could have been flipped!”
