Wayne Newton has blasted the burglars that he’s caught ripping off his Las Vegas mansion twice this June — but insiders are saying it’s justice for how he’s ripped off his fans! The legendary star and his wife Kathleen came home to the second burglary just two days after he canceled a performance of his hit Las Vegas revue. Just a couple of hours before his scheduled June 11 gig at Bally’s Casino, the “Danke Schoen” singer announced that he was forced to cancel the evening’s performance of “Wayne Newton: Up Close and Personal” — saying that he’d been disabled by “dental surgery the day before.”

But an incriminating social media post indicated that the star was lying through his teeth! Photos showed Wayne beaming that same night at a private event for Siemens technology company, where he presented an award to an employee. The swanky soirée was held at
the luxurious Liberace Mansion at 8 p.m. — the exact same time he was meant to take the stage at Bally’s Windows Showroom!

Insiders suggest he got at least $70,000 for the gig, and left the casino audience holding tickets selling for $178 a pop. “If he felt bad for letting his fans down,” said a spywitness, “he didn’t seem to show it. He loved the limelight and happily posed for the cameras. It was like he didn’t think he’d get caught!” That left a bad taste in the mouth of one fan who'd driven five hours to catch the Bally show.

“They refunded our tickets, but we spent a ton of money just getting here to see him,” said the disappointed former Wayne follower. But just two days later, Wayne and his wife Kathleen returned to their posh Vegas compound — and encountered the two burglars seen here caught on video before fleeing the scene!

“We are confident that our home surveillance video will lead to the apprehension and arrest of these individuals,” said Wayne — but not everyone in Vegas is wishing for a happy ending. “A few friends are saying it’s karma for the way he ditched his show for a quick buck,” dishes an insider. “But Wayne would never see it that way!”
