1. Tyra was born in Inglewood, Calif., in 1973 and says she was an ugly duckling in her younger years.
2. She launched her career as a model at 15 and just three years later walked 25 runway shows at 1991’s Paris Fashion Week.
3. She made her acting debut in 1993 on the sitcom, “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” playing Will Smith’s girlfriend.
