“For years I was angry and I didn’t want to see him," he told a source for The National ENQUIRER. “But he’s getting old, and he could be ill. Life is too short. I need to get to know him. I just hope he feels the same.”

Jon was born in 1988 after the "What’s New Pussycat?" singer had a brief affair with aspiring model Katherine Berkery. The two met in a Manhattan nightclub when Katherine was 24 and the Welsh heartthrob was 47. Katherine claims Sir Tom brushed her off after she realized she was pregnant.

But DNA tests proved Tom was Jon's dad, and Tom was ordered to pay $3,000-a-month in child support until Jon turned 18. After Tom’s wife and childhood sweetheart, Linda Jones (right), died in 2016, Jon reached out to their son — his half-brother Mark (center) — who manages the "Sex Bomb" singer’s career.

But insiders doubt Jon, an aspiring singer, will hear from his dad, who’s worth an estimated $312 million. “Tom refuses to acknowledge he has a second son — and no one expects that to change,” dished an insider.

“He worked his way up from nothing to become one of the biggest stars around," said the source. “Tom never got a helping hand, so he thinks you’ve got to make something of yourself. He doesn’t believe in handouts. He’s quite ruthless about this and doesn’t want anyone riding on his coattails.”
