Tom Cruise seems determined to mix work and pleasure during the shooting of "M:I 6 — Mission Impossible," with insiders reporting that he's hitting hard on costar Vanessa Kirby. The 33-year-old actress reportedly caught Tom's eye while starring as Queen Elizabeth's sister Queen Margaret in "The Crown," and was quickly cast in the latest "Mission Impossible" movie. But while studio spies are talking up their chemistry, The National ENQUIRER has learned that Tom's on the rebound from another "M:I" costar!

Before Vanessa signed on for Tom's latest turn as Ethan Hunt, the movie star had also made sure that sexy Swedish co-star Rebecca Ferguson was returning as beautiful secret agent Ilsa Faust. Sources told The ENQUIRER that the movie offer was also a way for Tom to cozy up to Rebecca, who also showed up in 2015's "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation." Said an on-set spy: “Tom’s definitely been looking for a girlfriend. He hasn’t been this single in a very long time!"

“He’s really into Rebecca and would do anything to date her,” added the insider, “but she’s making him chase her!” Rebecca is separated from the father of her 9-year- old son, but sources say that she’s been wary of hooking up off-screen with Tom — because of his role as a global leader of the Scientology church. Thrice-divorced Tom, still grieving the death of his mother, hoped that working together again would ear Rebecca down, which is why he demanded her character's return to the franchise. “It’s because of him she’s back for 'M:I 6'," said an industry source. "He carries a lot of clout!”
