Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, and Amy Poehler Opened The Show
In perhaps the most shocking news of the whole award show, there was no host for this year's event (following the controversy with Kevin Hart, of course). Instead, comedic actresses Maya Rudolph, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler opened up the show in a hilarious segment — but insisted they weren't the hosts of the night during their skit.

Melissa McCarthy’s Bizarre Outfit
The Boss actress presented at the award show wearing likely one of the most insane outfits to ever grace the prestigious event. While presenting the award for "Best Costume Design," the comedian spoofed The Favourite in a bizarre bunny-covered outfit. Epic!

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski Miss The Award Show
Similar to Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski were also snubbed by the Oscars this year. The husband and wife didn't receive and private nominations, and they weren't performers or presenters.
On top of not earning any nominations for Mary Poppins Returns after being acknowledged at the Golden Globes and SAG Awards, she also wasn't included in the one performance from the movie of the night. Instead, Bette Midler was the one to sing "The Place Where Lost Things Go."
That said, they decided to stay home and (maybe) watch from their TV screens this year instead.
