Steve Harvey On His Ego-Crazed Email: ‘It Was Cute’

Steve Harvey has been blasted as the Meanest Man on TV — but the crass comic is unrepentant about an embarrassing email where staffers were told not to bother him!

 The "Family Feud" host doubled down on his controversial memo while doing an interview to promote his new daytime show in syndication. Harvey's reputation as a miserable boss was seemingly confirmed with instructions to staffers that included “do not attempt to walk with me” and “do not  open my dressing room door.”

His employees were also warned that “My security team will stop everyone from standing at my door who have the intent to see or speak to me.” Still, Harvey dismissed the memo, simply saying: “I thought it was cute. You all did not.”

Harvey still attempted some damage control, though. “It’s not a big deal to me,” he said, adding: “I’m not a mean-spirited guy. I’m a congenial guy.” The crass comic also insisted that the memo was leaked by a former staffer that he hadn't hired for his new show.
