Shannen Doherty Settles Cancer Lawsuit — At Tragic Cost

Shannen Doherty has settled the lawsuit unearthed by The National ENQUIRER — in a shocking scoop that also revealed the "90210" star is battling breast cancer! Shannen had been forced to go to court over claims that her accounting firm had let her health insurance lapse in 2014.

No details will be released until conditions are fulfilled, but photos of Shannen celebrating reveal that the court case has taken its toll on the beauty!

The actress bravely went public with her illness, despite later speaking out over Hollywood had blacklisted her over the health crisis. Tragically, her latest turn in the spotlight involved sharing photos of herself shaving her head while announcing on "The Dr. Oz Show" that her cancer had spread to the lymph nodes.

Despite fighting to stay healthy, these latest photos show Shannen looking very sickly — with experts saying that the stress of the lawsuit could have worsened her cancer!

While there's little concern about stress causing cancer, Dr. Lorenzo Cohen has said: "Its been well established that chronic stress can affect the immune systems" — adding: "Under chronic stress settings, the stress hormones actually promote the blood supply to cancers!"

That means it's been a year of Shannen dealing with the lawsuit, having first filed the papers in August 2015. Now the struggling star is still fighting to get on with her career — although her new medical concerns may put her on the sidelines.

"Some of the cancer cells might have actually gone out of the lymph nodes," Shannen said, "so for that reason, we are doing chemo — and then after chemo, I'll do radiation."
