Host’s Producer Burned Handicapped Sister To Death
In mid-2018, Jill Blackstone, a producer on The Jerry Springer Show, was charged with murdering her handicapped sister.
Cops claimed that in March 2015, she drugged Wendy Blackstone, who was deaf and partially blind, and dragged her to their garage with their three dogs. She then set the garage on fire — killing them all!
The police, however, believed she staged the death as an accident, as Wendy was found with a suicide note in her hand, which they are convinced was written by Jill.
Jill was later arrested in April 2018 in Baltimore, where she had checked herself into a hospital for a medical condition. She pled not guilty on all charges and is awaiting trial.

Jerry Only Lost His Cool On The Show One Time
While celebrating his 25th year on TV in 2015, Jerry recalled the one and only time he lost his cool on the show. An early episode of the series from the 1990s involved members of the Ku Klux Klan — and he told The GLOBE it caused instant tension!
“We had this Klansman on, and he was raising his children to be racists,” Jerry remembered. “Then, he started going after me because of my family’s experience with the Holocaust. He said he’d turn my mother into a lampshade, or something vile like that. It was the only time in 25 years that I lost my cool!"
He added, “I stuck my finger in his face and told him to shut his trap.” And when he was about to get attacked, “Security jumped up on stage and pinned him down.”

Jerry’s Empty Promises
Before The Jerry Springer Show concluded in July 2018, it was known to be one of the raunchiest series around. But in 1994, Jerry vowed that he would try to change that by showcasing societal issues like guns and violence instead of sleazy stories.
"There's a crisis in America right now," he said to USA Today at the time. "I want to use the show to help find a solution o the problem. I want to star with kids, because with them, there's still hope."
He never quite put his money where his mouth is...

Show’s Producer Accused Of Being Drug Dealer
Back in 1998, Star reported that a producer on The Jerry Springer Show, Norm Lubow, was accused of being a drug dealer who once claimed he sold speed to O.J. Simpson just hours before his ex-wife Nicole Simpson was murdered.
At the time, it was insisted that Norm Lubow and Ron X were the same people even though Norm denied the allegations.
