Polanski has been on the run from U.S. justice for decades, when he fled the country before b
eing sentenced for drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl in 1977. The "Rosemary's Baby" director had continually sought a new plea deal to get back to Hollywood. That all changed in 2017, though, with this new case being the year's third shocking accusation against Polanski!

Now the
Los Angeles Times has reported that the LAPD is investigating claims made by Marianne Barnard in Oct. 2017 — despite the alleged crime
being too old to prosecute. "Roman Polanski took photos of me naked and in a fur coat on the beach in Malibu," Marianne wrote. "I was 10 years old. He went on from there."

But that strategy soured as more women came forward throughout 2017 to blast the disgraced director. A woman identifed only as
"Robin M." came forward in Aug., saying that Polanksi had raped her when she was 16 — adding: “I’m speaking out now so Samantha and the world will know she is not the only minor Roman Polanski victimized.”

German actress Renate Langer also came forward in Oct. 2017, telling police in France that she was a child model when Polanski raped her twice in 1972. And despite the statute of limitations, Marianne also declared that the "Los Angeles D.A. has ways of finding loopholes, and there’s the pesky issue of 'potential' child sex trafficking."

Marianne also followed up her public accusation by filing a police report with the LAPD sex crimes unit — and has created a petition for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to fire Polanski from serving on its board. He won an Oscar as Best Director in 2003, receiving a standing ovation from
Meryl Streep and other stars.
