Tatum O’Neal's half-brother remained in his cell, and the healthcare worker tried to talk to him through a 10-by-30-inch window on the cell door. “I wanted to ask him what the problem was, so I put my face near the window because I couldn’t hear him,” the victim said.

“Suddenly, he just exploded in anger," the victim told The ENQUIRER. "I never expected it. He pushed his fist out [the window] and hit my left eye! He just suddenly punched me!” Stunned, the healthcare worker fell to the floor. A deputy who was nearby helped him back to his feet.

“The deputy was right there, but I was in shock,” said the source, who suffered bruises and a black eye. “Most inmates are nice when we help them, but
this patient was very different.”
