Redmond has recently hit new lows in his sorry showbiz saga — going from being busted for an attempted robbery to now being accused of attempted murder. Los Angeles police say that he's the white man “with red hair and distinct tattoos” that viciously attacked five different men in the days before Redmond was arrested for robbing a 7-Eleven store.

In an exclusive interview with The National ENQUIRER, Redmond complained that he was only in prison "because of who my parents are" — saying that Ryan and his later mother Farrah were responsible for “the psychological trauma of my entire life.” In a tragic twist, however, The ENQUIRER has even unearthed police reports that reveal how Redmond grew up in an abusive household!

Welfare workers had warned in 1998 that Redmond — then 13 years old — was almost taken away from Farrah after she was beaten by her live-in boyfriend. Film producer James Orr was later convicted of misdemeanor battery for allegedly attacking the "Charlie's Angels" star and smashing her head into a driveway. The L.A. County Childrens' Services had already investigated to see if Redmond was in physical danger.

"We want to talk to the boy to be certain he's never witnessed any previous physical assaults involving his mother or Mr. Orr," revealed a source at the time. "If, after a thorough investigation, it is determined that Redmond has witnessed any violent acts, then obviously we'd have to make a decision whether, for his safety, he should remain with his mother."

At the time, Farrah and her ex-lover Ryan had joint custody of Redmond, who still stayed with his father on weekends. "He's really concerned about what effect her off-the-wall antics are having on the boy," said a source close to Ryan — who, as covered by The ENQUIRER, had even welcomed his son back into his Malibu home before his most recent arrests.

Redmond told The ENQUIRER, however, that he had actually grown up doing drugs alongside his famous father. Now, with the words “F**K LIFE” inked into his left hand, the troubled redhead said: “In my mind, I’ve lost all hope. I don’t care anymore. This last arrest, something happened to me."
