Stephanie Adams found infamy after pushing her 7-year-old son out of a 24th floor penthouse in Manhattan before plunging after him — with the sick murder/suicide marking the end for the former
Playboy pin-up's tragic quest for fame!
The former Miss November 1992 had already enjoyed a successful career with Wilhelmina Models before posing for Playboy. She then found more fame by coming out as a lesbian in 2003 — after one failed marriage, and telling Playboy that her "Prince Charming" is "good looking, successful, intelligent, and willing to do anything to make me happy."

Stephanie would later date men again, though, and even called in to the "Lesbian Mafia" radio show to declare that she no longer even considered herself bisexual. By then, however, Stephanie had courted plenty of celebrities in her quest to become a successful entrepreneur, inventor, and novelist.
Her first celebrity boyfriend was Elite Models boss John Casablancas — although his assistant at the time insisted the two were just "good friends." The couple was even rumored to be engaged, but Stephanie announced she was single at the end of 1992. "I just couldn't mix business with pleasure anymore," she said, even while becoming linked to more men!
One source reported Stephanie had joined
Robert De Niro at his TriBeCa apartment — and she was also linked to
Donald Trump. "He approached me at a loft party," Stephanie later recalled, "and began with, 'You look familiar...'" They were photographed together in Jan. 1993, with one caption saying the real-estate mogul was "striving to forget"

Stephanie later married, but divorced by 1996 — and was soon making Playboy promotional appearances. She became a nightlife regular, and reportedly passed on picking up KISS rocker
Gene Simmons one night in 2001. That was before Stephanie came out of the closet in a
She magazine cover story — saying that being "a pretty Playmate doesn't mean you're looking for a guy!"
By then, Stephanie had published several books about her New Age beliefs. "One of the books is a lesbian astrology book," she told reporters in 2003, "and I dedicate it to my girlfriend." She did a new Playboy profile, but warned fans: "I did not want to do a nude pictorial, because I did not want to take away from my books and future projects."
Stephanie also boasted that she "always enjoyed being controversial." She attended Gay Pride events all over the country, and joined other Playmates for a Top 10 list for "The Late Show with
David Letterman" in 2003. The topic was "Top Ten Perks Of Being a Playboy Playmate," with Stephanie boasting they "get to appear on one of the top four late night talk shows."

"The gay media have dubbed me their 'It Girl,'" she later boasted — as she was seen out with rock icon
Joan Jett and other big names. Playboy made her their official East Coast Spokesmodel. "It's hard to turn a page in a queer rag without seeing the willowy model peeking out," said a
Village Voice profile — but that all went away after Stephanie met a new man!

Stephanie won a million-dollar lawsuit after being roughed up by police after a cabbie falsely accused her of threatening him with a weapon. Shortly afterwards, she declared that she was no longer considering herself to be a lesbian — and announced in 2009 that she was engaged to a man!
"She was approaching 40," said a source, "so Playboy was already looking to use younger models. They didn't care that she'd changed her sexuality — but the gay party promoters felt like they'd been ripped off!" After leaving her Playboy position, Stephanie announced she was retiring from public life, except "maybe a runway or two for a charity event."
Stephanie got less media interest while promoting her line of beauty and aromatherapy products "inspired" by her son. She also angered old fans after threatening it was "libelous" to describe her as "a lesbian married to a man." Sadly, she'd only find fame as a murderous mother — with copies of some of her books now suddenly priced at over $1,0000!
