The women came forward with their claims in three different interviews with the Associated Press, including the second showbiz publicist to accuse Haggis of rape. She claimed Haggis called her into a back office and began to make sexual advances: "I was really resisting. He said to me, `Do you really want to continue working?' And then he really forced himself on me. I was just numb. I didn't know what to do."

Another accuser claims that Haggis had forced himself on her at a street, and then attempted to get into a taxi with her before she was able to elude the powerful showbiz figure. Another claimed that Haggis had attacked her while pleading, "I need to be inside you" — but she also successfully got away from the director.

An earlier lawsuit filed on Dec. 15 in Manhattan had publicist Haleigh Breest claiming that Haggis raped her after a film premiere in 2013. The court documents accuse him of being a "man willing to force himself on a young woman less than half his age, [taking] pleasure in the fear and pain he caused her.”

Haggis has filed a countersuit against Haleigh. His attorney, Christine Lepera, addressed the new accusations with a further denial, saying her client "didn't rape anybody." Haggis was already a controversial figure as one of the few former showbiz Scientologists to blast his former religion — and once said that he remains "painfully aware" that his own past could be used against him.
