Pamela Gidley, who first found fame as 1985's "Most Beautiful Girl in the World," has tragically passed away at the age of 52 — with the "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" star leaving behind a controversial career!
Family members announced that the 52-year-old beauty queen had died “peacefully” at her New Hampshire home on April 16. She had left Hollywood behind after a last turn in 2006 on the TNT crime drama "The Closer," with her last recurring role as forensic anthropologist Teri Miller on "CSI." Pamela also became a Hollywood favorite after The ENQUIRER caught her punching out co-star

The rising star was enjoying fame in the big-screen "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me" when she signed on co-star with Robin as tough Chicago cops in "Prince Street." The show was almost scuttled when Pam tried to rehearse a scene with her fellow actress, who a crew member had already complained had "treated everyone like dirt."

The show was almost scuttled when Pam tried to rehearse a scene with her fellow actress, who a crew member had already complained had "treated everyone like dirt."
Insiders reported that Pam had asked Robin for advice, only to be told: "Why not play the white trash you are?" Pam then hauled off and slugged her. And while the series only lasted a season, set sources insisted that the brawl wasn't to blame. "After Pam hit Robin," said one, "they became really tight. Maybe they were method acting or something."

Pam had established her battling reputation early on, though — after being challenged after winning the "Most Beautiful Girl in the World" when it was discovered that only Americans could vote in the pioneering reality show. Pam dismissed the claims as "not making sense," and added that her title wouldn't keep her from "having fun" — saying: "You can't worry about chipping a tooth or messing up your face!"
