Natalie Wood’s Close Friend Demands Robert Wagner Face Justice

A childhood pal of Natalie Wood has broken decades of silence to accuse Robert Wagner of having a hand in her death, The National ENQUIRER has learned!

Investigators recently identified Wagner as a “person of interest,” and Ed Canevari — who grew up with Natalie in Santa Rosa, Calif. — is demanding that detectives ramp up their case against her husband.

“They should have done it 37 years ago!” the 80-year-old former deli owner exclusively told The ENQUIRER. “I just believe that Robert Wagner did it. I think it was covered up.” Ed has always doubted the “West Side Story” star’s drowning death off Catalina Island in November 1981 was an “accident,” as originally ruled.

He even recalls at the time telling Natalie’s mother, Maria Gurdin: “I don’t believe it.” Brunette beauty Natalie vanished off her 60-foot yacht, the “Splendour,” after a vicious fight with her hubby, who thought she was having an affair with “Brainstorm” co-star Christopher Walken.

The former “Hart to Hart” star has insisted the 43-year-old actress accidentally fell into the Pacific Ocean, but Ed questioned that story. For years, Ed joined a young Natalie and her family for summer vacations at a river in Sonoma County.

Everyone cooled down by the water — except the beloved star, Ed recalled. “She wouldn’t go to the river’s edge.”
