Naomi Watts: Perfect in Purple!

Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber decided to take sons Alexander and Samuel someplace far, far away from snow- and wind-whipped New York City last weekend, landing in the much sunnier and welcoming climes of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and earlier today Naomi decided to hit the beach with Alexander and some friends.

Statuesque Naomi stripped out of her cutoffs down to a sexy little purple string bikini that Liev was probably sorry he missed while shepherding Samuel, 6, at one of the resort’s pools. Alexander, 8, decided he didn’t want to wear swim trunks.

Naomi, 47, may have given birth to two kids and made more than 20 films, but she still has a long and lean form that could put a lot of younger starlets to shame. Clearly, all her spin classes have paid off with those legs — and her arms and tummy are also taut and toned.

The “King Kong” beauty donned some sunglasses and a hat because she just wanted to relax and do some sunbathing while Alexander — whose nickname is Sasha, the Russian version of his name — tumbled about in the sand.

“The Ring” star Naomi has a busy 2016 in front of her. The next chapter in her YA film franchise, “The Divergent Series: Allegiant,” is scheduled for release on March 18, and she has to film the next installment, “Divergent: Ascendant” this year. “The Book of Henry” will also be out in 2016.

Later this year, Naomi costars with partner Liev in “The Bleeder,” in which he plays heavyweight boxer Chuck Wepner — a small-time New Jersey fighter known as the “Bayonne Bleeder” because he cut easily and his face gushed plasma during fights — who actually managed to knock down “The Greatest of All Time,” Muhammad Ali, during a 1975 bout! She plays Chuck’s wife, Linda.

Apparently a workaholic when not lounging on the beach, the 2013 Oscar nominee (for “The Impossible”), whose breakthrough came working with quirky director David Lynch in 1999’s head-spinning TV-movie “Mulholland Dr.,” has joined his reboot of the classic crime-noir TV series “Twin Peaks,” due next year.

Finally (for now — whew!), Naomi was named honorary president of Glantraeth FC, a soccer team based on the Welsh island Anglesey. Naomi’s maternal grandfather was Welsh, and she spent part of her childhood on Anglesey in the towns of Llangefni and Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch following her father’s death in 1976, before moving to Australia as a teen. Dang, that sand gets everywhere!
