The “Shawshank Redemption” star had tried to hide his long affair with E'Dena, which began when she was just in her teens. Tragically, E’Dena made headlines herself when she was savagely attacked by her boyfriend. Lamar Davenport is now on trial for the brutal slaying, with cops saying he stabbed E’Dena 25 times — as caught on video, and now backed by court testimony!

This chilling footage unearthed by
RADAR Online shows D'Ena in her final moments on Aug. 16, 2015 — with Lamar ready to repeatedly stab her in the chest, back, and arm. The following stills from the video show even more evidence of the carnage, with Davenport's lawyers pushing for an insanity defense.
Xavier Gardere, a neighbor of E’Dena in Upper Manhattan, detailed these murderous moments caught on tape. “He mounted her,” said Gardere. “He was just basically sitting on her hips. She was kicking. She was struggling at the beginning. Really not too much toward the end.”

Davenport is seen here using both hands to hold the knife towards the end of the attack, shouting: “Thank you, God! I love you, God!” The court also heard Gardere's earlier 911 call, when he told the operator that Davenport had been “talking Bible f--king passages" during the frenzy. Gardere added in his testimony that the killer declared: “God would have wanted this!”

Freeman did not attend the first day of the trial, with the prosecution insisting that Davenport should be held responsible for E’Dena's death. “Whatever the effects of PCP were on his motivations to attack [E’Dena],” said Assistant District Attorney Christopher Prevost, “his attack was purposeful, with the conscious objective to cause her death.”
