Randy Taraborrelli that he once saw Joe "smack Michael across the face" when the 10-year-old tried doing his own choreography. Johnny said Joe screamed: "Now, you do it the way I told you to" — and only stopped threatening his son when Michael said, "If you ever hit me again, it'll be the last time I ever sing."

Since then, said insiders, Katherine had vowed to shield Michael's sons Prince and Blanket — and
Paris Jackson — from showbiz. "She says the entertainment industry killed Blanket's father," said an insider, "and she's not going to see it happen to him, too." The source added that Michael's famous sibling had also stepped in to tell Joe "to keep away from Blanket."
