Just weeks before, Melanie was clearly still healing from the latest work done in her battle against basal cell carcinoma. The latest look is also a relief after the "Working Girl" star frightened fans by getting caught smoking while still showing signs of her recent surgery!

Her new look is also a return to an earlier attempt at healing in Oct. 2017 — when she first showed an attempt to recover from the cancer that left her with a dime-sized hole above her left nostril. Dr. Lyle Back, who hasn't treated the actress, noted at the time that she was still set for a recovery!

"She has a classic outdoor sun-damaged face," said Dr. Back, who also noted that the actress has had several nose jobs. But, he added, "techniques that plastic surgeons have available to them can minimize the scarring."
