NBC’s daily soap schedule doesn’t start until noon — but with the infighting among Megyn Kelly, Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, topsy-turvy “Today” is giving “Days of Our Lives” a run for its money!

In the wake of Matt Lauer’s sex-scandal sacking, the show’s most prominent co-hosts are “battling” a network insider spilled to The National ENQUIRER. As previously reported, Savannah is fuming over Hoda’s, seemingly endless victory lap after her promotion.

“It was hard for Savannah,” our source dished. “She was in Matt’s shadow for years, and now she is in Hoda’s. It never seemed like it’s her time!” Another media observer said: “It’s been two months, and Hoda is still sucking all the air out of the room, going on ‘Ellen’ and collecting laurels.”

But, despite their differences, there’s still one thing that binds them together — a mutual distaste for Megyn! Despite a ratings catastrophe on the show’s third hour, Megyn is still the network’s highest-paid personality — at a reported $23 million salary!

“Savannah and Hoda have real problems with Megyn,” squealed our insider. “They don’t even want to walk past her in the hallway! They have real problems with not only her attitude, but her salary and entitlement after only arriving a few months ago.”

In fact, Hoda was gleeful to witness former “Today” show pal Ann Curry’s sensational smackdown of Megyn recently on “The View!”

As The ENQUIRER reported, Megyn infuriated Jane Fonda after asking about her plastic surgery during what was supposed to be a promo interview for the actress’ latest movie — and later said she had “no regrets” about posing the question!

“Journalists are not supposed to be the story,” said Ann. “We’re supposed to use whatever time we’re given to shine a light on other stories.” Days later, Hoda was doubled over in laughter while interviewing Jane and Lily Tomlin as they made fun of Megyn’s heavily criticized interview with Jane.

When Hoda asked the women how long they had been friends, Lily cracked, “Before your first face-lift.” That’s when Jane snapped: “Who are you, Megyn Kelly?” The quip humiliated Megyn and now the tension in the newsroom is thicker than ever.
