Despite announcing a return to acting with the small-screen "Picture Paris" in 2017, the production has no signs of having been made. Instead, Meg's concentrated
on romancing John Mellencamp — with industry veterans saying Meg lost interest in showbiz after her looks ruined her directorial debut while starring in the 2015 WWII drama "Ithaca."

"The movie's nothing special to begin with," said an attendee at a 2015 Georgia screening at the Savannah Film Festival. "But it was worse whenever Meg was on screen looking like she'd just been to a plastic surgeon in 2015!"

Meg even brought in her pal Tom Hanks for a cameo as the deceased husband of her character, who's raising a teenage son in 1940s California.
She also had Mellencamp write a soundtrack for the film — but the movie couldn't recover from the bad reviews for Meg's vanity!

"Meg wants the good will of being a Hollywood star [at local festivals]," said an insider from an "Ithaca" screening in Middlesburg, Virginia. "But even the locals were shocked to see that Meg didn't cut back on the Botox and lip fillers before making her own movie!"
