Matt Lauer has been hiding out in the Hamptons since being fired from “Today” over a series of shocking sexual harassment charges — but he doesn’t have time to enjoy Megyn Kelly replacing him as the morning show’s most recent villain! Instead, Lauer’s facing even more embarrassments as one of the leading faces of the #MeToo Movement blasting showbiz perverts. The womanizing newsman is reportedly set to be erased from history at the 9/11 Memorial Museum in New York City. Insiders have told The National ENQUIRER that the formerly-respected Lauer has become a “distraction” when “Today” footage is shown of the tragic terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. While a rep insisted they’d keep showing his original news reports, a source claimed top staffers were already planning to replace Matt with 9/11 news coverage from “Good Morning America.” And that was even before Megyn did more to sully the “Today” reputation…

This latest humiliation comes just when Lauer should be enjoying a last laugh on Megyn — with insiders telling The ENQUIRER that some “Today” staffers weren't happy with how quickly Megyn went after Lauer when the lecherous star was quickly fired from the morning show. It was no coincidence, said sources, that Megyn blasted Lauer shortly after he had said that he "gets" why Megyn had low ratings, and added that her numbers were a "real problem!"

"Megyn's a veteran of the FOX News wars," said an insider, "and nobody knows better how sexual harassment on the set can derail a career." His own new scandal, however, is a reminder that Lauer is in no position to join his co-workers in happily saying goodbye to the controversial newswoman!
