Mariah Carey & James Packer — The Wedding’s Off

Mariah Carey has ended her engagement to billionaire James Packer — as The National ENQUIRER reported exclusively on Oct. 10! The doomed romance lasted longer than some insiders expected, too! Shortly after The ENQUIRER's bombshell report, Mariah hooked up with her ex-husband Nick Cannon for an early family Halloween party with twins Monroe and Moroccan, as charges began to fly over who was responsible for calling off the wedding!

Although the pair had been spotted vacationing together in the Mediterranean in recent weeks, an insider told The ENQUIRER: “The wedding is off!” — adding that Mariah's diva behavior had become “just ridiculous, with her sloppy appearance during boozy dinners in L.A. also raising eyebrows!”

The ENQUIRER's own Mike Walker also revealed how James was furious over Mariah's constant mentions of Nick — and "started screaming" when he caught his fiancée watching old video of her ex.

A pal dished: “Mariah’s probably not even aware of how much she talks about Nick in front of James, and James is sick of it — so he was livid when he found her watching Nick on his TV show!"

James also had to put up with double-divorce problems, as he tried to split from his wife Erica (pictured) while dealing with Mariah's current marriage. “Nick feels he shouldn’t get less than what Packer’s wife is getting,” spilled a spy — adding up to the "America's Got Talent" host holding out for $100 million!

Mike Walker also caught James snoozing through one of Mariah's performances in Vegas — and the billionaire businessman was also reportedly embarrassed over Mariah's E! reality show “Mariah’s World.” Even one of Mariah's pals complained that the star's diva antics were "like a big joke, and Mariah’s not in on it!"

The couple first started dating in the summer of 2015, and James popped the question back on Jan. 21, 2016. But the series of ENQUIRER scoops added up to too much strain — although insiders are saying Mariah will still walk away with her $10 million engagement ring!
