They filed for divorce in December 2014, but are still haggling over custody of their boy-girl twins, four-year-old Moroccan and Monroe, and finances. Mariah — whose first marriage to music exec Tommy Mottola ended in 1998 — is worth a whopping $510 million, while Nick came into the marriage with just $500,000.

The two have a prenuptial agreement, but the source said: “Nick is trying to squeeze extra money out of her. But Mariah is bitter with Nick for breaking her heart, so she’s been playing hardball over money and custody issues.” James, an Australian hotel and casino mogul worth $4.7 billion, went public with his and Mariah’s romance in June. The duo celebrated Christmas in Aspen, Colo., where James proposed, said the source.
