Luke’s Cancer Scare
In 2015, Luke underwent a routine colonoscopy after teaming up with Fight Colorectal Cancer’s One Million Strong awareness campaign — and doctors discovered precancerous growths. They were later removed, but it urged the actor to raise health awareness.
“When I heard that this was the most detectable cancer that we know of yet it’s the second most lethal, I just couldn’t figure out why that was and I wanted to get out there and tell people about it,” he once said.
“I want people to be proactive about their health,” Luke also once shared. “So many people could save a life if they just go and have a colonoscopy.”

Luke’s Romance With Madonna
Back in 1992, it was reported by The Examiner that the actor had a fling with music icon Madonna. “She finds him terribly sexy and cool, in a James Dean sort of way,” a source revealed at the time. “She wanted to meet him for weeks — and she got her wish.”
“They had a lengthy conversation while Luke was working on the 90210 set. That night, he rushed straight from an L.A. theater, where was doing the play Love Letters with L.A. Law’s Amanda Donohoe, to the AMFAR awards in Beverly Hills.”
“That was the first time he and Madonna met face to face — and it was obvious to the audience that there were spark flying everywhere! He gave her a big kiss on the lips when he handed her the award, and everyone there could feel the electricity between them!”
The source added, “They were practically inseparable the rest of the evening, cooing and cuddling the night away. And they didn’t care who noticed.”
“What Madonna wants, Madonna gets — and it’s certainly obvious who she wants is Luke!”
Nothing serious ever came of it, as Luke married Rachel Sharp one year later.

Luke’s Struggle To Become Famous
As previously reported by The Globe, while Luke’s role of Dylan McKay in Beverly Hills, 90210 made him famous, it wasn’t an easy road to get there.
He went on more than 215 auditions before he landed his first big acting gig — a TV commercial…
When it came to 90210, Luke auditioned for the part of Steven Sanders, a gig that instead went to Ian Ziering, before landing the role of Dylan.

Luke’s AIDS Terror
When Luke first rose to fame at age 26, the heartthrob was juggling multiple girlfriends at once. That said, when Magic Johnson announced his AIDS diagnosis, the actor became frightened that he’d get the disease himself.
“Luke is shaking in his boots that he’ll contract the deadly AIDS virus,” a source close to the star once disclosed to The National ENQUIRER. “He’s had a lot of girlfriends, women who have thrown themselves at his feet — and most of the time he’s taken them up on their propositions."

Luke and Jennie Garth’s Scandalous Romance
After teasing fans (and Jennie’s fiancé at the time) with their steamy connection during 90210, in 2012, The National ENQUIRER reported that the two had fallen in love 12 years after the popular TV series ended.
“Since Seeing Luke again, Jennie has fallen in love with him and Luke feels the same. It just happened,” a source revealed at the time. “There is an electricity between them that has been revived after all these years. They’ve known each other for a long time and there’s a trust between them.”
“Jennie and Luke were really good friends on the show and remained that way after the show ended. But both of them married other people and were happy for quite a while, until lately,” the insider added.
“He has always loved her and now he finally has the chance to do something about it.”
Jennie and Luke were both on the tail-ends of their divorces from Peter Facinelli and Rachel Sharp, respectively, at the time, however, nothing came of the rumored spark between them. In fact, Luke’s rep denied the claims that he and Jennie were dating.

Luke’s Crazy Stalker
In 2006, Luke tried hard to obtain a restraining order against a woman who was harassing him by phone, mail and in person.
“She has repeatedly harassed me by phone and mail. Showing up at my house uninvited and unannounced,” he wrote at the time. “I was contacted by her sister in Texas to tell me that she was off medication and potentially dangerous. During a professional theatrical engagement 18 months ago, she showed up at the theater backdoor, which was unnerving, as she knows where my children reside.”
However, his requests were denied at the time.
