Gillibrand even took the lead in calling for disgraced fellow Dem Al Franken to resign from the Senate over groping charges. Now she's calling out President Trump over accusations of sexual harassment — and even declared that Bill Clinton should have resigned during the Monica Lewinsky scandal!

That bold statement had Newsweek asking: "Will Kirsten Gillibrand become the first woman President in 2020?" The prominent D.C. publication The Hill also declared in a headline that Gillibrand would "lead Democrats to 2020 victory." And insiders have revealed to The National ENQUIRER that the Democrats are already trying to choose her replacement from Caroline Kennedy, Chelsea Clinton and George Clooney!

Caroline reportedly felt betrayed by Bill and Hillary Clinton when their longtime henchman Sidney Blumenthal, orchestrated a smear campaign belittling Caroline’s 2008 U.S. Senate run as a “puppet show,” say insiders. Caroline eventually dropped out of the race, and was also passed over by then-Governor David Paterson in 2008 when he appointed Gillibrand to Hillary's vacant seat as the Senator became Secretary of State.

But if Caroline plans to enter the Senate in her 60s, she could go up against Hillary's daughter. Chelsea is reportedly being groomed to go after a New York seat, as well — setting up a major election mudfest between the Clintons and Kennedys. “If Caroline runs against Chelsea, all the dirt will be wheeled out again,” a Clinton source predicted.

But there's a wild card in George Clooney — who bought a Manhattan luxury apartment in early 2016, amid speculation that Gillibrand would join the Hillary administration after winning the presidency. Now the star's announced that he's ready to give up acting, declaring: "I sold a tequila company for a billion f--king dollars. I don’t need money!"

One longtime political insider believes that George still has a Senate run on his mind. “Moving to New York is a page right out of Hillary’s playbook,” added the source. “She bought a home in a New York City suburb in January of 2000 — just nine months before a special election to fill the open Senate seat left when Daniel Patrick Moynihan retired after four terms!”
