Kathie Lee Gifford spoke up for disgraced showbiz figures Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein in a phone call to Andy Cohen's radio show — asking for "mercy," and that the public consider "each individual case!"

Kathie — who once said on her morning show with Regis Philbin that she was one of many '80s stars sexually harassed "in a very, very bad way" — detailed her own Hollywood casting couch ordeals, saying: "I've been sexually harassed, I've been been sexually abused and I have been date raped." But, she added about her experiences, "Don't tell me that they're all the same. They are not!"

As heard here, Kathie went on to say that she didn't "want to throw everyone on the same manure pile. Being a jerk is not the same as being a rapist." She added: "I've been friends with Bill a long time. Harvey Weinstein was a friend of mine for 30 years. I just want people to know that i don't judge them. God knows their hearts, and there's hope for them."

"I am not saying that kind of behavior in any way is acceptable," Kathie insisted, but asked: "Can we at least look at each individual case and see it for what it is, and be merciful to people who are sorry for what they've done?"
