Kate Upton Is A Fashion ‘Disaster’
Here's a look at Kate Upton as you've never seen her before — as the curvy beauty gets dolled up in white heels and a bizarre pink dress while shooting her new movie "The Disaster Artist." Kate looked more like she was auditioning for the next "Star Wars" film while wrapped up in her offbeat outfit and showing off some weird moves.
Kate has good reason to look weird, though. "The Disaster Artist" is a movie about the making of a real-life cinematic bomb called "The Room" — which has become famous for being one of the worst movies ever made. Kate's appearing with writer/director/star James Franco, who's playing Tommy Wiseau, the real-life writer/director/star of "The Room." Kate's classy co-stars include Zac Efron, Sharon Stone, and "The Hunger Game"'s Josh Hutcherson.
"The Room" is Kate's first acting role since 2014's "The Other Woman," where she surprised a lot of people with her clever work as a rich man's daffy mistress. Before that film, Kate was mostly known as a bikini model in the annual "Sports Illustrated" Swimsuit Issue. "If I get pegged as a bikini girl," said Kate, "that's fine — and that can still translate into acting or other areas. But, no, I don't want to be doing bikini shoots my whole life."
"The Disaster Artist" looks to be an artsy film about a bad movie. Kate's certainly showing that she's a good sport about fooling around with her image. She's also showing off her curves, and remains unrepentant about being a gal who likes to eat. "I'm not going to starve just to be thin," said the rebellious cover girl. "I want to enjoy life, and I can't if I'm not eating and miserable!"
