Julie Chen didn’t want to talk about her husband Les Moonves leaving his job running CBS amid multiple accusations of sexual harassment — so “The Talk” host skipped out on the CBS show’s season premiere! Just minutes before the show started, Julie announced: “I am taking a few days off from ‘The Talk’ to be with my family. I will be back soon, and will see you Thursday night on ‘Big Brother.’” The announcement didn’t come as a surprise, though. CBS announced that Les Moonves was leaving the network on Dec. 9, just one day before “The Talk” returned for a new season. And in the hours right after the announcement, Julie was blasted on social media by people accusing her of helping to cover up her husband’s alleged sex attacks — with “Talk” host Sheryl Underwood calling the Moonves accusations “a blessing from God to be unburdened from secrets,” while controversial comedian Kathy Griffin went online with a caustic rant!

And despite frequent denials by CBS publicists that Moonves and Julie were in a secret relationship, the couple finally had to go public, and were married on Dec. 23, 2004.
