The homeless sex offender (pictured) quickly became a suspect in JonBenet's twisted death after he was believed to be in the Ramsey's Boulder, Colo., neighborhood on the night of her murder. According to a friend of Oliva, the pervert had called days after the child's body was found to say that he'd done something horrible.

Oliva has remained in the community during the years after the beauty queen's death. He is currently being held in the Boulder County Jail.

He was already a convicted sex offender at the time of JonBenet's death. Oliva admitted to police that he'd become obsessed with the girl during her work in beauty pageants, and made frequent trips to Boulder — and even told police that he had picked up his mail near her home!

Oliva never let go of his obsession with JonBenet, either. In 2002, he proudly revealed that he had written a love poem titled "Ode to JonBenet" — much like pedophile John Mark Karr wrote a long account of seducing JonBenet that doubled as a murder "confession."

“JonBenet’s murder touched me very deeply,” Oliva once said in an interview, explaining why police found a photo of JonBenet amongst his scarce belongings. “I feel she was an exceptional girl whose death was an exceptional loss. I felt the need to build a monument, a shrine, to remember this little girl.”

This latest chilling development comes as the CBS television network announces an upcoming JonBenet Ramsey miniseries — in the wake of The ENQUIRER revealing more prime suspects and shocking confessions from JonBenet's own mother!

The ENQUIRER also had a bombshell report on pop star Michael Jackson's collection of kiddie porn, with a photo he kept of a JonBenet lookalike with a noose around her neck! Authorities say that Oliva was in possession of sexually explicit images that included a girl between the ages of 4 and 7. He's currently being held under $10,000 bail, with a court appearance scheduled for July 11.
