The chilling image has put law enforcement personnel on high alert — with NYC cops remembering the brutal massacre of innocent bicyclists in Oct. 2017 by another deranged "lone wolf" fanatic. Just days before Sayfullo Saipov ran down innocent tourists, another terrorist outlet had posted this chilling image of an ISIS flag presented over the same streets where the savage attack took place.

This new threat also comes just weeks after bumbling ISIS terrorist Akayed Ullah — also classified as a "lone wolf" — blew himself up at a 42nd Street subway station in Manhattan. Fortunately, he was the only person injured in the premature explosion. If Ullah had made it to a packed subway car, however, he would have taken any number of innocent lives.

The National ENQUIRER obtained a top-secret intelligence report specifying sites across the U.S. that the FBI deems most vulnerable to terrorists — revealing ISIS' plans to destroy iconic symbols of American freedom and democracy. That includes the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor. The Metropolitan Museum is also a logical target, however, with archeologist Sturt Manning warning: "ISIS, like so many iconoclastic extremist groups through history, seeks to destroy the record of the past."

The ISIS terror map included other targets for the coming year — with the Academy Awards ceremony in Hollywood, San Diego's annual Comic-Con and the San Francisco Pride Festival also in ISIS's sights. In addition to the Metropolitan Museum, other important landmarks on the terror map include Mt. Rushmore, The Alamo and Philadelphia's Liberty Bell.
