Neil Diamond and
Elton John in shocking fans by canceling shows over health concerns. "Two and a half months ago, just before a show in Dallas," announced Huey, "I lost most of my hearing. The star still held out hope for a comeback, however — despite noting that he'd already consulted with "the House Ear Institute, the Stanford Ear Institute, and the Mayo Clinic." Tragically, Huey added that all the physicians he consulted believe that he's suffering from Meniere's Disease. The disorder of the inner ear causes vertigo and ringing in the ears, along with hearing loss. There is no known cure.
