The 55-year-old beauty was rushed to a local hospital after crashing her Porsche in L.A. around 9 pm on the night of Sept. 14 — and luckily escaped with just minor injuries. It was a troubling twist for Heather, though, with the tragic star having just recently made her first public appearance of 2017 since being thrown into rehab!

As earlier reported by The National ENQUIRER in a bombshell exclusive, a hysterical Heather Locklear was put away in rehab for the fifth time at the start of 2017— just months after The ENQUIRER revealed how friends feared that the former "Spin City" star was on the verge of suicide!

The tormented beauty was brought to the Cliffside Malibu Rehab Center over the holidays. “When she came in," said a shocked eyewitness, "she was drunk and on pills, crying and screaming. She had to be helped because she was so f--cked up!”

“She’s on alcohol and benzo[s],” added the insider — saying that Heather was then booked into “a private house with two other people. The only time she comes out is to see the doctor.” The ENQUIRER was also there when Heather was spotted by startled shoppers at an upscale Los Angeles mall in July 2016, who reported she looked “puffy-faced and out of it!”

Sadly, insiders also reported new heartbreak for Heather after she finally got out of rehab — as she began a relationship with new boyfriend Chris Heisser, who was reported t0 already be cheating on the fragile actress! The former husband of a woman named Dawn Willoth said that Chris is also in a relationship with his ex-wife.

Heather seemingly was flying solo when she made her first red-carpet appearance of 2017 at the Farrah Fawcett Foundation's Tex-Mex Fiesta in Beverly Hills on Saturday, Sept. 9.
