Ellen DeGeneres Spotted Without Her Wedding Ring

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have hit a rough patch in their marriage — Hollywood is rumbling after the talk show queen was busted in public with no wife and no wedding band!

Ellen has publicly insisted the couple’s marriage is on solid ground, but sources have told The National ENQUIRER that the pair have spent nights apart in their palatial mansions. After Ellen went ring-less during a Beverly Hills shopping spree on April 20, talk heated up that she and Portia are under pressure!

“All the signs of trouble are there,” spilled an insider. “Ellen and Portia are living in separate homes because that’s the only way they can have some peace and quiet. When they do speak, it often ends up in an argument.

“Ellen has stopped wearing her ring except when she’s on camera, and Portia has also neglected to wear hers at times," the source said. “Now, their friends are worried they’ll be the next celebrity couple to split!” The photo shows Ellen without her ring in Oct. 2017.

Pals fear the A-listers are in a $400 million marriage crisis ahead of their tenth wedding anniversary on Aug. 16! “Portia could take Ellen to the cleaners!” dished a pal. “She could definitely ask for — and get — spousal support, plus a huge cash settlement and property!”

According to sources, the high-profile marriage has been rocky before. An omen of trouble surfaced last October when Ellen plunked down nearly $20 million for a beachfront mansion in Carpinteria, Calif., fueling rumors she needed to escape from “Scandal” star Portia.

But earlier than that, the two faced off in a public showdown in front of a Los Angeles restaurant in April 2017. On June 1, Ellen was spied walking with a mystery woman — and then without her wedding ring a few days later.

“Ellen tends to isolate herself when she gets home from work. She retreats into her room, shuts off her phone and doesn’t want to talk to anyone, even Portia,” snitched the insider. “Portia is extremely sensitive. She feels every slight, every nuance, and she’s become increasingly lonely in Ellen’s presence.

“She’s telling friends she had to get away," the source continued, "and she fled to one of the residences Ellen had bought to remodel and flip.” Instead, former “Arrested Development” star Portia has turned the 5,300-square-foot home into her own private bachelorette pad, sources claimed.

“The place has four bedrooms and eight bathrooms, so Portia can have friends stay over and do whatever she wants,” tattled the insider. Many observed how, at the Vanity Fair Oscars bash in 2014, Ellen tugged Portia by the hand to meet her bigwig friends.

“Ellen made it clear she was dominant in this relationship and Portia was the submissive one,” noted the insider. A friend of Ellen’s brushed off talk of marital woes, but The ENQUIRER’s mole insisted it’s only a matter of time before Portia spreads her wings to fly away.

“If they do split, it’s going to be a costly divorce,” added the insider.
