Donatella Versace Dominates Milan!

Donatella Versace, creative director of the fashion house that bears her family name, mingled with other royals from around the Italian style industry at today’s opening lunch for Milan Fashion Week.

The 60-year-old designer can still bring it — here sporting a khaki blazer and fishnet tights. The edgy ensemble trimmed years off her look. Donatella set off her tailored jacket with a matching skirt, brown belt and matching military-style handbag.

The fashionista added lace-up heels with silver accents and accessorized with layers of diamond necklaces. She left her platinum hair loose so as not to distract from her dark eye makeup.

Donatella recently told “WWD”: “The internet and social media have changed everything. The old systems are collapsing. For many people, they find it terrifying. 'They want everything in fashion to stay the same, as if smartphones had never been invented. I am the opposite.”

Thanks to technology, “I cannot remember a time when fashion has been as exciting as it is today,” the style icon summed up.

MFW kicked off at Palazzo Reale in the Italian city following recent similar events in London, Paris and New York in recent weeks.
